Hinoki Stool, Double

365.00

A collaboration between designers Jasper Morrison and Wataru Kumano, these stools link the fragrant, durable wood traditionally used to build temples, palaces, and baths in Japan with a modern, yet warm sensibility. Beautiful as individual pieces, the soft rhythmic curves of these stools are wonderful together.

The Hinoki wood of these stools have been sourced from Gifu Prefecture and made by local artisans from the area. More Trees, a forestry preservation organization, works to conserve and support healthy local forests in the area as well as promote the use of local woods, and a portion of proceeds from the stools will fund future work.
